The Posthof in Linz – "contemporary culture at the harbour" – is one of the largest and most varied event venues in Upper Austria. In several halls by the Linz harbour, it offers a dense programme of contemporary music, cabaret, dance, performance and world music, and is regarded as an important place for innovative and border-crossing art. Through its commitment to contemporary culture, the Posthof has made a name far beyond the city and attracts artists from Austria and abroad. As a lively centre of the independent scene, it complements the major Linz houses with an experimental, youthful stage.
