brut Wien is Vienna's foremost production house and venue for contemporary performance, dance and performance art. The house sees itself as a laboratory for current, often experimental artistic practices and offers a platform to national and international artists of the independent scene. Its programme combines dance, performative installations, discourse and new formats that deliberately cross classic genre boundaries. With changing venues and a clear focus on the present and on diversity, brut is a central hub of progressive performing arts in Vienna and a reliable companion to emerging voices.
