The Theater Kosmos is the most important independent spoken-theatre stage in Vorarlberg, based in Bregenz on Lake Constance. With a professional ensemble and a clear focus on contemporary drama, it regularly brings premieres and socially relevant material to the stage. The house sees itself as a place of current, critical theatre and complements the state theatre's offerings with an independent, courageous voice. In its modest venue, a dense closeness between stage and audience arises. As a fixture of the independent scene, the Theater Kosmos decisively shapes the region's contemporary theatrical life.
