The Stadttheater Berndorf is an architectural gem in the Lower Austrian industrial town of Berndorf. Built around 1900 at the instigation of the industrialist Arthur Krupp, the magnificent historicist hall impresses with elaborate decoration – a surprisingly opulent theatre for a small town. Today the house is known above all for its summer theatre productions, which draw a loyal audience from the region. With professional stagings of entertaining plays and its special historic ambience, the Stadttheater Berndorf combines theatrical pleasure with turn-of-the-century charm and is a cultural flagship of the Triesting Valley.
