The Seefestspiele Mörbisch are the largest operetta festival in Europe and take place on a floating lake stage on Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland. Founded in 1957, they are dedicated to grand operetta and bring the classic works of the genre to the stage in opulent productions before the wide landscape of water and reeds. The unique lakeside setting, the warm summer nights and the elaborate staging make every performance an experience for thousands of visitors. As a cultural flagship of Burgenland, the Seefestspiele combine buoyant entertainment with the special atmosphere of Lake Neusiedl.
