The Landungsbrücken Frankfurt is a young, lively venue of the independent scene in the Gutleut quarter near the Westhafen. Run by the association Junge Bühne e.V., in which anyone can take part – be it directing, set, costume or make-up – the house sees itself as an open, participatory place for emerging artists and experiment. The programme features contemporary theatre, in-house productions, guest performances, readings and concerts; a cosy theatre bar invites visitors to linger before and after performances. With its low-threshold, collective approach, the Landungsbrücken has established itself as a springboard for young theatre-makers in Frankfurt.
The name "Landungsbrücken" (landing stages) alludes to its riverside location by the Westhafen on the Main.
