The Komödienspiele Porcia are among the oldest summer theatre festivals in Austria. Performances take place in the atmospheric arcaded courtyard of the Renaissance castle Porcia in Spittal an der Drau, whose three-storey loggias form a unique backdrop for light, cheerful plays. Since the 1960s the festival has brought comedies into this extraordinary setting summer after summer and has become a fixture of the Carinthian cultural summer. The combination of historic architecture and carefree theatrical pleasure makes the Komödienspiele a special experience for audiences from near and far.
