The Kellertheater Innsbruck is one of the oldest and most respected small stages in Tyrol, existing as a private venue since 1948. Located in an intimate vaulted cellar in Innsbruck's old town, it offers an exceptionally close, atmospheric theatre space. With its programme of comedies, classics and contemporary plays, the house has earned a firm place in the cultural life of the Tyrolean capital over the decades. Sustained by much voluntary commitment, the Kellertheater stands for lively, audience-friendly theatre and complements the large Landestheater with a charming, personal venue.
