Tri-Cities Opera in Binghamton, New York, founded in 1949, is one of the state's long-established regional opera companies. Named after the "Triple Cities" (Binghamton, Endicott and Johnson City), it is known for its historic commitment to singer training: through an affiliated resident-artist programme it gave generations of young professionals their start.
