Toledo Opera, founded in 1959, is one of Ohio's long-established regional opera companies and performs in the beautifully restored Valentine Theatre, a historic 1895 theatre in the heart of Toledo. The company presents a compact season of popular repertoire operas and is strongly engaged through extensive education and outreach programmes for young people and the region. Located between Detroit and Cleveland, Toledo Opera is the fixed point of reference for professional music theatre in northwest Ohio.
