The Schauspielhaus Graz is the leading drama stage of the Styrian capital and part of Bühnen Graz, the region's largest theatre group. In its historic house in the centre of Graz – complemented by modern studio stages – it presents a broad repertoire from classics to contemporary plays and premieres. As an artistically ambitious ensemble theatre, it decisively shapes the city's cultural life and works closely with the independent scene and international directors. Set in the UNESCO World Heritage centre of Graz, the Schauspielhaus combines a historic atmosphere with a decidedly contemporary programme.
