Pensacola Opera, founded in 1983, is the opera company of the port city of Pensacola in Florida's far northwest and performs in the historic Saenger Theatre of 1925. Each season the company presents popular repertoire in internationally cast productions and maintains extensive education and outreach programmes that reach many students in the region each year. As a fixture of cultural life on the Gulf of Mexico, Pensacola Opera combines artistic ambition with a broad educational mission.
