Opera Orlando is the professional opera company of the central Florida metropolis of Orlando; in its present form it grew out of earlier initiatives and established itself over the course of the 2010s. Its main venue is the modern Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. The company combines popular repertoire with contemporary works and site-specific projects and is growing alongside Orlando's rapidly expanding cultural scene. Opera Orlando is thus the central point of reference for professional music theatre in the region.
