Skylight Music Theatre, founded in 1959 by Clair Richardson, is a Milwaukee institution for music theatre in the broadest sense – from opera and operetta to the Broadway musical. Its home is the intimate Cabot Theatre in the Broadway Theatre Center in the historic Third Ward. The house's small size allows an unusually close, immediate experience. With its cross-genre profile and English-language productions, Skylight makes music theatre accessible to a broad audience and ranks among the most distinctive stages in the Midwest.
