Biography
Toxische Pommes is the pseudonym of an Austrian cabaret artist, satirist and writer who was born in what was then Yugoslavia and grew up in Lower Austria. From 2020 she became known for short satirical character videos on TikTok and Instagram that sharpen everyday observations from a feminist and anti-racist point of view. Her first solo programme, Ketchup, Mayo und Ajvar, premiered at Kabarett Niedermair in Vienna in 2022, followed by Wunschlos unglücklich in 2025. In 2024 Zsolnay published her autofictional novel Ein schönes Ausländerkind about migration, family and finding one's place. She received the Austrian Cabaret Prize in the online category in 2024 and the creator award of the Bavarian Cabaret Prize in 2025. The Burgtheater Wien premieres a stage version of her novel in 2027.
