Biography
Simon Triebel was born on 28 April 1982 in Gießen. As one of two guitarists, he has been part of the band Juli since it was renamed from Sunnyglade around 2001; after switching to German-language lyrics and signing with Universal Music in 2003, the band became known for songs such as “Perfekte Welle”, “Geile Zeit” and “Elektrisches Gefühl”. Since around 2008 he has increasingly worked as a composer and songwriter for other artists, including Udo Lindenberg, Tim Bendzko, Mark Forster and Namika. In 2018, together with Nicolas Rebscher and Kevin Schroeder, he co-wrote the music and book of “Fack ju Göhte – Das Musical”, a stage adaptation of the film of the same name. His work as a songwriter and composer has been nominated several times for the German Songwriting Award.
