Biography
Sébastien Blanc is a French writer for stage and television who often writes his comedies together with Nicolas Poiret. Their joint plays include “Même pas vrai”, “Le Muguet de Noël”, which ran at the Théâtre Montparnasse in 2020, and “Les Grands Enfants”. “Deux mensonges et une vérité” premiered at the Théâtre Rive Gauche in Paris in January 2018, was nominated for the Molière for best comedy that year and reached the German-speaking stage in Freiberg in 2021 as “Zwei Lügen, eine Wahrheit”. Without a co-author, Blanc wrote the two-hander comedy “Secret.s”, which opened at the Théâtre de la Madeleine in Paris in 2024 and is performed in German as “Geheimnisse” in Georg Holzer's translation. For television he has worked on the series “Parents mode d’emploi”, among others. In 2026 the Académie française honoured Blanc and Poiret with its theatre prize for their dramatic work as a whole.
