Biography
Miranda July (born 1974) is an American artist, filmmaker, writer, and performer. Her feature debut Me and You and Everyone We Know (2005) won the Caméra d'Or at Cannes; it was followed by The Future (2011). Her short story collection No One Belongs Here More Than You and the novel The First Bad Man display her unmistakable, tenderly quirky tone. July works across genre boundaries—from performances and apps to installations—and is regarded as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary American art.
