Biography
Miguel M. Abrahão was born on 25 January 1961 in São Paulo. He studied history, education and journalism, taught Brazilian history, and founded a university theatre centre. As a playwright and writer he has produced numerous plays, children's books and historical works, including his best-known stage play "A Escola" (1983), which he later expanded into a novel of the same name. His work frequently combines historical material from recent Brazilian history with educational concerns.
