Biography
Mark Campbell is one of the most sought-after American librettists of the present day. He wrote the texts for numerous contemporary operas, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning Silent Night and the chamber opera As One (2014, with Laura Kaminsky and Kimberly Reed). Campbell is regarded as a defining figure of the vibrant American contemporary opera and, with more than forty works, has significantly shaped modern American music theatre.
