Biography
Kimberly Reed is an American filmmaker and writer. She became known for her autobiographical documentary Prodigal Sons. For the chamber opera As One (2014) she co-wrote the libretto with Mark Campbell, bringing her own experience as a transgender woman into the work. Reed combines film and music theatre and is regarded as an important voice for queer and transgender representation in the performing arts.
