Biography
Kevin Schroeder is a German musical book writer, lyricist and translator. He completed his training in 2003 at the Stage School of Music, Dance and Drama in Hamburg and has since become one of the most successful new German musical authors. He wrote the book and lyrics for his own stage works such as “Lotte – Ein Wetzlarer Musical” (2015) and, together with Nicolas Rebscher and Simon Triebel, for “Fack ju Göhte – Das Musical” (2018), which won the German Musical Theatre Award for Best Musical in 2018. He has also translated numerous English-language musicals into German, partly with Heiko Wohlgemuth, including “Aladdin”, “Chicago” and “Frozen”. Schroeder is a member of the German Musical Academy and co-founded the young-talent stage “Schreib:maschine” with Friederike Harmstorf and Robin Kulisch in 2010.
