About the work
“Las Modistas” is a comedy written and directed by Claudia Puig Moysset. Summer 1962, at the Fibracolor textile factory in Tordera near Barcelona: four workers, Rosa, Julia, Catalina and Clara, receive a seemingly impossible commission and must prove, among sewing machines, fabric and endless shifts, that talent does not depend on titles. Blending humour and emotion, the play pays tribute to the women who quietly built the Catalan textile industry. It premiered in 2024 at Teatro de las Aguas in Madrid and has been playing at Salto Escénico since September 2026.
