Biography
Ben Rakidžija was born on 3 October 1980 in Ludwigsburg. He studied philosophy and history at the University of Stuttgart, graduating with a thesis on Schopenhauer's ethics of compassion. Alongside collections of aphorisms and prose such as Das Buch der kleinen Wahrheiten (2020) and Verteidigung des Mittagsschlafs (2025), he wrote the romantic comedy Schätzchen, streit mit mir!, based on his own novel Sophia & Pierre, which has been performed on international stages since its 2021 premiere. Rakidžija also teaches creative writing and founded the European literary festival Lit.EU.
