Biography
Anna Ziegler was born in 1979 in Brooklyn, New York, and studied English at Yale before earning a master's degree in poetry from the University of East Anglia and an MFA in dramatic writing from New York University. Her plays, often centred on historical or scientific figures, have been produced across the United States and in Australia, Israel, Japan, Italy, Germany, India and Sweden, among other countries. She achieved international recognition with "Photograph 51," about DNA researcher Rosalind Franklin, especially through its 2015 West End production starring Nicole Kidman. Ziegler lives in New York and continues to work as a playwright and screenwriter.
